KE Red Birds Fly - 2005 chestnut quarter pony mare by Almost a Playa
KE Render Her Red - 2000 chestnut Quarter Pony mare by Attribution
KE Red Zippo Radar - 2009 amber champagne Quarter Pony mare by CF Zippo Gypsy
GW Our Star Beacon - 1999 Palomino Quarter Pony Mare by Our Jessie Beacon
History:
Red was purchased from a condition free created horse sale at the SAI board in the summer of 2009. I was looking for some good broodmares, and Red immediately caught my eye. She was already an older horse, so I didn't bother putting her in the show ring. However, some of the children around the stable have ridden her and love her. Red had four foals at Kuutamo before retiring for good in March 2011, during the transition to Gateway Stables.
Personality:
Red was already all grown up when I got her, but I cannot imagine her being anything but the sweet, quiet old mare I know now. She can be fairly shy at times, especially when there are crowds of people around. She also gets a bit freaked out when she is crowded with horses who are much larger than her. However, except for these two small problems, she's been a wonderful horse and broodmare. She has foals competing in everything from reining and cutting to barrel racing and pole bending, and winning ribbons all the time.
